Collection: Oyster Knives

An oyster knife is a short-bladed (generally range from 2.5 to 4 inches long), a dull knife designed to pray open oysters. Usually, the tip is rounded and pointed enough to be inserted into the tightly closed shell, but not to cut into the oyster's flesh. The blade is used to cut through the muscle and oyster membrane to separate oyster meat from the shell.
